We are passionate about Thredbo and the Snowy Mountains and had been visiting the area for 25 years before the Crackenback Ridge area became available for sale. We were immediately excited by the idea of luxury ski in, ski out accommodation being built in Thredbo having experienced the joys of this in Colorado. This vision was shared by our great friends, Bill and Linda James who designed, built and decorated the properties we now manage.

We put our belief that it could also be done successfully in a great Australian ski resort to the test by setting up Ski in Ski out Chalets. In 1999 we moved permanently to the village, a decision we have never regretted. Our Snowy Mountains are truly unique with flora and fauna found nowhere else, wild flowers in spring, a vast array of sporting activities in summer and snow sports in winter.

Ski in Ski out Chalets is a niche property management business that only handles luxury accommodation that is truly ski in, ski out. We don't manage properties that do not meet our exacting standards. In recognition of that, we were the first and so far the only accommodation in the Snowies to be rated 5 stars by AAA tourism, the organisation which operates the well respected and widely known rating system on behalf of Australia's motoring organisations.

All of our chalets are privately owned by people who share our love and enthusiasm for Thredbo and who allows us the privilege of letting our guests enjoy the luxurious comfort, fantastic position and first class facilities of their beautiful mountain homes.
